We learnt how Trout froze the insect first and then he pinned them out and then they stayed hard. He collected some of them by shaking a tree and catching the insects that fall down onto a sheet below. All of the insects were from New Zealand, apart from the rhino beetle which came from Papa New Guinea
We decided that we would like to make our own insect collections!!
Our favourite insects were the rhino beetle, moon moth, weta and the stick insect.
