Please come in and read them, we would love to hear what your think!
Measurement
This week we are learning how to measure things.
At first we weren't sure how to measure correctly but we came up with 3 rules to help us...
1) Measure in a straight line.
2) Use the same equipment.
3) Don't have any gaps between the equipment.
Look at what we could measure...

Our tiny dragons
Today for writing we imagined if we each had a mini dragon appear in our bedrooms. We talked about what its name might be, where it came from, what it looks like and what we would do with it.
I slowly opened my eyes, there was a little, little dragon. It's name was marshmallow. It lived in a deep dark cave. I will have it as my pet. I touch his skin it felt like soft skin.
By Joss
I see creepy, sneaky eyes. Can you believe it?... a mini dragon. I always wanted a pet dragon. Hmmmm what should I name it?
Snow head that's what I should call it. I wonder where it lives? Maybe in a cave by the sea. I searched it up on the computer. I said "don't you live in a mountain?"
Then snow head whispered "yes I live in a mountain".
By Daniel
When I woke up there was a dragon. I said "am I dreaming?" But no it was real. The dragon was shiny everywhere and had wings like a bat. I might call you Smokey. Then it talked in English. I screamed "aaaaaa!"

Please let us know what you think of our writing and everything else we get up to :)!
Treasure maps
This week in maths we are learning about positions and directions.
Today we drew a map of our playground and wrote instructions for a buddy to find a treasure we had hidden.

Fraction Party Friday
We also shared something that we brought from home that was about fractions.
Awesome fraction book Sam!
Tilly cut her sandwich into quarters :)
Daniel had 1 whole pear.
Cassie brought a wooden cake that could be cut into quarters!
Jacks sandwich was cut in half.
Cooper brought a block that had been cut into thirds :)
We then got to make our own fairy bread and cut into fractions, it was yummy!
We also played a game with chocolate and had to choose which group to join so that we got the biggest fraction of chocolate.
